I International Congress of the History of Health and Assistance

The I International Congress on the History of Health and Assistance is a prominent event that brings together health professionals, teachers, researchers and students from areas of knowledge as diverse as Nursing, History, Medicine, Sociology, Philosophy, Psychology or Communication.

This Congress will take place between the 22nd and 23rd of May 2025, at the University of Minho, through  online format.  Associated with it, and in order to deepen some themes and give some dynamism, it will be preceded by a Pre-Congress, which will consecrate a set of 8 webinars in the period from April 2nd to May 21st, 2025.

Serving as spaces for debate and reflection, the Conference and Pre-Conference aim to explore the multiple interdisciplinary dimensions of the history of health and assistance. It is therefore important to privilege recent and innovative approaches that contribute to strengthening knowledge on this topic.

Emphasizing linguistic diversity and the plurality of forms of communication, free communications, conferences and other interventions may be presented in Portuguese, English or Spanish. However, sessions will not offer simultaneous translation.
